I've recently taken on the editing of my local village newsletter, and people are now beginning to discover that as well as print I also have some Web expertise.

Micro-project no.1

The Parish Council website for Oakington and Westwick has been online for a year or more but cannot currently be found in Google. The simple reason for this is that it isn't currently in Google, presumably because there are no links to it from websites that the search engine does know about. Hence this blog page.

It is quite likely that this very page will soon gain a top position for a search for 'Oakington Parish Council' . The target website needs to lose its frames and have a few other changes made before it will be found for relevant searches but at least its existence should soon be known.
