FavOrg

FavOrg seems to be a utility to help preserve 'favicon.ico' favourites icons when caches are cleared and histories deleted. Quite why its user agent has appeared on a couple of MJB Data hosted sites that I know for a fact have no such icons is currently unknown.

Thanks to Gary Davies of www.settpoint.co.uk for the following explanation:

"This is due to someone adding one of your sites to their favourites and then running the Favorg utility. Favorg trundles off and checks every site in the users favourites looking for  favicon.ico. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t created the icon (as you are saying) Favorg doesn’t know this until it’s checked – this is why you sometimes see Favorg visiting.   All nice to have as you know that someone likes your site enough to bookmark it!"
